the 505 Lobby of Light by Turrell

Is it a labyrinth?! Is it a maze of doors each to different worlds!?

No, it’s just the office lobby.

Here is a lobby with a fantastically imaginative difference- a light installation as a lobby at 505 Fifth Avenue NYC, designed & created by the architect Douglas Hocking & the light & spacial artist James Turrell!

As far as lobbies & office entrances into work to our desks go, it may just as well be a completely daring, modern & adventurous, new world!

The simplicity of minimalist space & back lit panels is past good & the light effects aren’t static either, they change over every 86400 second slot- the colors & combinations of light.
