the Water Tank by Tom Fruin

The magic & endeavor of turning an eye sore or dereliction into something, not!

This is the artist Tom Fruin’s slice, his water tank creation, which is one of many, the one slice of a much larger project of public art installations coming to light in NYC.

Public installations revolving around the artistic or creative renovation of old unused water tanks that sit & blot the city skyline. Water tanks that have been left no use to anyone really. A project around making them more aesthetic.

Similar to the Kolonihavehus with panes of stained glass, this one is my favorite as at night it’s such a colourful creation to see, as good as any point of a compass!
